About

The famous quote said by Jean Henry Dunant “By Thy power, let there be peace, O God!” after witnessing the battle Solferino, lead to the formation of Red Cross Society. Every tree grows from a small seed likewise the Red Cross society grown like a tree in stages. Initially an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was formed to serve throughout the world to protect and assist victims of armed conflicts and strife.

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) club is one of the avenues available for the students of Adithya Institute of Technology to indulge themselves in the social activities.

Objective

  • To conduct social and health awareness programme.
  • Awareness on the care of their own health and that of others.
  • To encourage the students to extend their humanitarian services to the society.
  • To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers. .
  • To develop leadership quality among the students. .
  • The understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfill the same. .
  • To offer First Aid Training to all the YRC volunteers. .
  • To inculcate in the Youth of our country.
  • To understand and acceptance of civic and human responsibilities.

Goal of YRC

  • Protection of Health and life – Health.
  • Service to the sick and suffering – Service.
  • Promotion of National and International friendship to develop the mental and moral capacities of the Youth – Friendship.
